Monthly Charts 1983 - 1985
Of
the twelve tapes listed below that were compiled specifically for Ceefax AM broadcasts, some were embellished during their
lifetime with an additional track early in 1984. Sometimes this would be at the
start, other times elsewhere. For example, Hand in Hand was inserted in front of Sunny Isle on No. 1,
and You're Gonna Need Me, had French
Candies added as track 1 on No. 2. Similarly, No. 7 originally commenced
with Capability Brown, but subsequently the track Sailing By was
added at the start.
No.
9, Regina Waltz, was withdrawn after only four days in April 1984. Samantha
(3) and Somewhere Downtown (5) are sometimes numbered the other way
round! Two versions of the latter exist, one finishing with Early One
Morning followed by Eric Coates' Television March, and the other
with A Nightingale Sung in Berkeley Square. The proper title for No.10, My
Simple Heart, is I'd Rather Leave While I'm in Love.
Other
standard trade test tapes were used for Ceefax AM outwith the dates indicated in the charts below.
